Childhood
Jim Morton's birthday was in 1931 rested on November 8th. I asked him a lot of questions. Like did his parents tell him of the day he was born he said no to that, and what was the place you grew up in he said on a farm in the country. Also how many brothers or sisters do you have he said to me 5 brothers and 1 sister. What were you like as a child. He told me mischievous and enjoyed a good joke.
I asked what he did for fun he said hunting, woodcutting, and horse back riding. Any chores as a kid he said feed the hogs and horses also carrying in the fire wood. I asked him what kind of school did you go to and what was your favorite subject he told me, a small school and his favorite subject was spelling. What he wanted to be when he grew up he said cowboy. I asked him what world events do you remember h said world war 2 (ww2). I asked what's different about growing up today from when you were growing up. He said children today staying home and to much free time not enough responsibilitys.
Adulthood:
I asked did he go to a college he said no. I asked did he serve in the military he said yes he participated in the Korean War. I asked what job did you do he said farm and daisy hand. I asked him three questions about his wedding when 1954 how old were you 22 what was it like quiet. How many children do you have he said 2 boys Wesley and Ricky and 1 girl named Catherine. I asked what was the best part raising them. He said what watching them grow. And what was the hardest point he said the teens.
The Present:
I asked do you have any special interests or hobbies he said the house plants. I asked what is a typical day for you now he said watch tv and take kids to school. What things are most important for you now he said watching family grow.
Aging:
What do remember most about your 20,30,40,50, he said to old to remember. How do you feel growing old he told me it's tough. I asked how do you feel growing up? He said it's tough.
Life Lessons and Legacies:
I asked him what have you liked best about you life so far? He told me his wedding and the birth of his children. I asked him what is the best part of living in Anthony? He said the people are mostly friendly. I asked him how do you define a successful or good life? He clearly stated he didn't know. I asked him what do you want you grandchildren and children to remember about you? He said that was always their for them.
